How to redact a screenshot
- Paste your screenshot with Ctrl+V, or drag-and-drop / load it.
- The rectangle tool is ready with a solid fill. Drag a box over each detail to hide; pick black (or any colour) from the colour swatch.
- Repeat for every sensitive area. Use Ctrl+Z or History to undo a box.
- Copy with Ctrl+C, or save as PNG.
Black out text in an image
Drop a filled box over any text, such as an email address or a phone number, and it gets painted over for good in the exported image. Hold Shift while dragging to keep the box tidy.
