About Edit Image

Edit Image is a small, free image editor that runs entirely in your browser. Paste or load a screenshot or photo, mark it up or clean it up, and copy or save the result. No upload, no account, no server.

I built it for myself. I kept needing to black out a name in a screenshot or add an arrow before sending it on, and the online editors I found wanted to upload the file to a server first. That felt wrong for images with personal details in them, so I wrote one that does the work on your own device instead. It turned out useful enough that I put it online for anyone to use.

It is made by one person, an independent developer, not a company. Because every edit happens locally, your images never reach me or anyone else. You can read exactly what is and is not stored on the privacy page.

The site is free to use. It shows ads to cover its hosting costs. The terms of use cover the rest.
